Career Matchup is an independent presentation layer over documented government datasets. The goal is traceability: you should be able to see what a number means, where it came from, and when it was measured.

Occupation matching
O*NET-SOC codes are joined to BLS base SOC codes through the documented BLS crosswalk. Direct .00 mappings are eligible for publication. Ambiguous or unresolved mappings remain in review.
Missing data
A blank, dash, or suppressed value stays null through import and renders as Not available. The site never substitutes zero for unavailable data and does not use AI to fill gaps.
O*NET scales
O*NET measurements retain their raw value and scale identifier. Relative bars are shown only when the source scale bounds support normalization. A relative bar is not an official score and higher does not mean better.

The current release is national only. It does not include state, metro, industry, or live job-listing data.
